Daniel H. Wilson (author of Robopocalypse and AMPED), Chris Robson (mathematician and principle scientist at Parametric Marketing), Gene Kim (author of Visible Ops and When IT Fails) and I discuss the technological singularity and future of artificial intelligence at SXSW Interactive 2012.
Very interesting material in the discussion. “Cats have 10% of the brain capacity of humans, so when you see a life-like robotic cat walking down the street, you know we are only about seven years away from human-level AI.”
Any chance the slides from the talk are available anywhere?
No slides, but I do have my speaker’s notes if you want. (Although it won’t be much different than the podcast itself.)
